A movement to nurture and fund long-term, innovative solutions to hunger.
In year one, WRAL-TV and the Triangle stations of Radio One raised $112,000 for non-profit partner Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, funding their work in Wake, Durham, Orange, Chatham, Johnston, Nash and Edgecombe counties.
This year, we’ve expanded the mission into more counties by supporting a coalition of innovators: Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, Farmer Foodshare, Transplanting Traditions, Hawkeye Indian Culture Center, Action Pathways and Conetoe Family Life Center.
These are organizations going after the root causes of hunger in fresh, grass-roots ways. Their visions are bigger than their budgets and that’s where we can make the most difference.
